Ruth’s Keystone Café Grand Opening:
Pacers Mascot to Draw Record Crowds
Indianapolis (May 2006) Last year, Boomer made more than 200 appearances in the United States and has participated in seven NBA All-Star weekends. But did you know that he was recognized as one of the top 10 mascots in Europe? This explains his love for the new European café at the heart of Keystone at the Crossing.
Owner Jim Nethercott, who reinvented
Café Nora and elevated Indy’s Northside cuisine to new heights, has set his sights on a revered restaurant tradition, the breakfast and lunch coffeehouse. “To develop a unique and creative new menu and present it in a bright new environment is very exciting for us,” says Jim. “With a growing reputation as one of the city’s most dynamic destinations, and our location across from the new
Crate and Barrel store, Keystone at the Crossing is a perfect home for our newest concept.”
Ruth’s Keystone Café opened in March to rave reviews from
Dine Magazine, Indy Men’s Magazine, Indianapolis Monthly, InTake, and is a favorite of ZPL’s Smiley Morning Show staff. Ruth’s is celebrating with a Grand Opening Party Friday, June 2 and Saturday, June 3.
Ruth’s is hosting a very special tea dinner on Friday with a presentation by tea guru Wayne Ashford, founder and owner of
Tea’s Me. One lucky guest will win two Zoobilation tickets during the evening’s festivities. Chef John Adams’ dinner includes oyster shooters with ginger mignonette, watercress salad, chilled pea soup, and roasted rack of lamb with honey-peppercorn glaze and parsnip garlic puree. Pastry Chef Julie Radmer serves a blueberry tea cake with lemon curd and cream to round out the experience. These entrees will be presented with a variety of green, herbal and black teas including Japanese Cherry, Key Largo, Rooibes Orange, Eveining in Missoula, Moroccan Mint and Masala Chai.
Boomer makes a brunch visit on Saturday to hang out and sign autographs 1:00 p.m. 3:00 p.m. A sampling of breakfast, lunch and brunch menu items will be available 8:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m.
